19 September 2024 - The Renewable Construction Academy, RECOA, is proud to announce its new partnership with COWI A/S, a globally recognised leader in engineering, project development, and environmental consulting. As RECOA’s latest Academy Partner, COWI will collaborate with RECOA to co-develop a cutting-edge educational programme focused on offshore wind energy, direct electrification, and green fuel production. This initiative aims to equip a cohort of renewable energy professionals with the skills needed to drive the energy transition. The partnership has already begun developing courses in offshore geosciences, starting with Site & Survey Data Fundamentals. 

These courses will bridge the gap between technical expertise and practical application, offering insights into geotechnical and geophysical site investigations essential for the planning and development of offshore wind projects. The training empowers learners to effectively manage and interpret site investigation data, supporting the successful execution of renewable energy projects. 

COWI brings decades of experience in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions worldwide, with a strong presence in Scandinavia, the UK, Ireland, Germany, North America, South Korea, Taiwan & Japan. Their involvement in this partnership aligns with their FUTURE-NOW strategy, which is dedicated to accelerating the green transition by focusing exclusively on projects that contribute to a sustainable future. Through this collaboration, the courses will adhere to the highest industry standards and sustainable practices. 

This collaboration highlights RECOA’s mission to provide structured and standardised industry-relevant education to increase the efficiency and build-out of renewable energy projects globally in support of the green transition.
