Australia's offshore wind market is open. Are you ready to operate in It?

The Australian market operates differently.

This is not a market where experience elsewhere automatically transfers.

Australia has its own jurisdiction, its own compliance requirements, and its own commercial dynamics.

The industry conversation so far has centred on ports and infrastructure.

The commercial realities of operating vessels in Australian waters have barely been addressed with the depth the industry actually needs:

  • a) the mobilisation costs,
  • b) the jurisdictional complexity,
  • c) the compliance landscape,
  • d) the vessel selection strategy for a geographically isolated market

Join this round table to be in the forefront of the Australian Offshore Wind Market

About RECOA's Round Table

RECOA's Round Table events serve as an industry forum where industry experts delve into specific industry topics relevant to today's landscape.

The format involves a 40-minute round table discussion featuring key topic discussions. Each topic is addressed by industry experts, who share their insight and opinions. Following the round table, there will be a 15-minute live Q&A session where RECOA's host will present questions from the audience. If there's a desire to delve deeper into the discussion or pose additional questions, participants can do so on RECOA's Professional Student Community. Here, the panelists will directly respond to queries and continue the conversation.
For suppliers:
  • Developers evaluating supply chain partners are not just looking at price.
  • They are assessing whether a supplier genuinely understands the operational, regulatory, and commercial environment they are entering.
  • The suppliers who understand the nuances for Australian conditions will score meaningfully higher in developer evaluations than those who haven't.
For developers:
  • Understanding how experienced operators and contractors are thinking about vessel strategy, compliance, and mobilisation directly informs project decision & lead to an outcome that can save billions down the line.
  • The round table offers a rare opportunity to understand the full commercial and operational landscape from the people navigating it, which ultimately leads to better project decisions.
