Testimonial about IN05 Course

by Giacomo Perfetti

“I highly recommend this course! I’ve never taken a course where there is audio accompanying all text. It’s usually easy to zone out during an online course—especially when reading about dense topics—but the audio integration made for easier learning and better comprehension. And good thing too! I don’t think I could have passed the final exam without actually learning the content and paying close attention to the details. Studying for 1-1.5 hours per day, the IN05 course took me about five days to complete.”

Although I have already worked in this industry for 2 years, the education still gave me some fundamental knowledge I didn’t know. Without hesitation, I can tell you this course will be the easiest way for you to gain knowledge about the offshore wind industry and the role as an Offshore Client Representative.”

Howard Ong

“This course training coupled by real life application as an OCR, is invaluable to projects and clients. I have learned so much from my mentors (Martin, Jesper and Chris) through this course and in work. Currently, there is no such training course to be a professional OCR in the world. This is the ONLY one. The course is well organised and covers a wide range of fundamental topics. I hope that successful completion of this course will be the mandatory requirement for any Client to select a professional OCR to work in OWF in the future! An endorsement by a reputable organisation eg GWO will be an added advantage. I highly recommend anyone interested in becoming, or anyone that is already an OCR, to take this course!”

"Its nice for me to refresh my skills and knowledge around the entire lifecycle of a project"

James Stevens, Head of WTG at LSP Renewables

I really enjoyed the Elements of an Offshore Wind Farm course, as it was a really good basis and basic overview for the full-scale production and installation of an offshore wind farm. It's very easy to get focused and stuck on your single track working in WTG (Wind Turbine Generators). As my focus is on WTG, it's nice for me to refresh my skills and knowledge around the entire lifecycle of a project. I think it is also very helpful for the team to see, read, understand and learn about the full-scale production of offshore wind farms.

"The course very accessible, even to those without a technical background."

Marcus Romagnesi, Junior Engineer

As someone with no background in offshore wind, the course was an excellent introduction to the main components and works that are involved in the construction of an offshore wind farm. The high-level overview of each of the different stages and components makes the course very accessible, even to those without a technical background. The animations and images of the components and works kept the module interesting and made it easy to stay engaged, as well as providing a clear visual aid to help follow along with each section. I would highly recommend this training course to anyone that is wanting to learn the fundamentals of wind farm construction in a well presented and interactive manner.

"I wish I had access to this a few years ago!"

George Robinson, Account Manager

Using RECOA increased my knowledge across the board, the course I took was well-structured and covered all the important fundamentals. I liked that the course is flexible around me, allowing me to revise in bitesize segments with options to both read the text or watch the videos. Whether you're new to the field or an experienced professional seeking more knowledge in a different project phase, I'd highly recommend taking a RECOA course. I wish I had access to this a few years ago!

About the Renewable Change Control Manager Course

The Renewables Change Control Manager (RCCM) is a key role in the developer’s organisation. The RCCM is usually a member of the Project Management Organisation (PMO), or Project controls team. They setup the change control process and governance, facilitate the process, run change control boards, and proactively ensure that no changes from the original project budget, schedule and scope are missed.

Candidates for the RCCM role will either come from a technical background, or have been working in large infrastructure projects and can quickly understand how changes might impact other stakeholders. They have excellent communication and help facilitate communication amongst stakeholders. They must be structured and organised in their approach, but also capable of applying wisdom to a given situation to ensure that change control remains practical and easy.
